The goal of this wiki is to help physicians create medical practices that can provide patients with "exactly the care they want and need, exactly when and how they want and need it.” This is achieved by optimizing the six dimensions as described in the Institute of Medicine 2001 report “Crossing the Quality Chasm”:

Important Note: This Ideal Micro Practice Wiki is just at its beginning stages, and therefore probably not a good place to post questions at this time. For one thing, not very many people know about this site yet, but maybe someday there will be many more. A better place to get a specific question answered about opening a solo or ideal practice would be on the Practice Improvement e-mail listserve.
